Uncertainty is analyzed as a systemic factor shaping households’ entrepreneurial potential in Ukraine amid socio-economic transformations and heightened risks. The purpose of the study is to identify the specific features of the impact of various forms of uncertainty on household entrepreneurial activity and to substantiate directions for its stimulation. The research employs the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scholarly approaches; systemic and structural-functional approaches; comparative analysis; and elements of the forecasting method. The results show that economic, institutional, and social uncertainty significantly affects households’ readiness for entrepreneurial activity, the formation of entrepreneurial initiatives, and financial decision-making. It is revealed that high levels of risk, income instability, limited access to financial resources, and information deficits restrain the realization of the population’s entrepreneurial potential. In addition, the article emphasizes the role of household adaptation strategies in prolonged uncertainty, particularly income diversification, micro-entrepreneurship, and the use of digital tools to reduce transaction costs. It is substantiated that increasing the level of financial and entrepreneurial culture among the population, along with institutional stabilization and the predictability of economic policy, can minimize the negative effects of uncertainty and promote the sustainable development of household entrepreneurial potential in Ukraine. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a careful consideration of uncertainty as a multidimensional factor in the development of household entrepreneurial potential and in clarifying the mechanisms of its influence in contemporary Ukrainian realities. The practical significance lies in the possibility of using the obtained results to shape state entrepreneurship support policy, develop financial literacy programs, and stimulate self-employment. Prospects for further research include an empirical assessment of the impact of specific types of uncertainty on household entrepreneurial behavior, as well as the development of tools to enhance their economic resilience.

Keywords: households, economic resilience, uncertainty, entrepreneurial activity, entrepreneurial initiatives, entrepreneurial potential, risks, household financial security.
