The article examines the theoretical foundations of conflict management as a component of the enterprise management system. It summarizes contemporary scientific approaches to interpreting conflicts and conflict management and systematizes the main conceptual directions in the study of organizational conflicts, specifically the functional-level, typological, instrumental, and adaptive-crisis approaches. It has been established that the modern scientific paradigm views conflict not only as a source of organizational risks but also as a potential factor for development, innovation, and improving the effectiveness of management decisions, provided it is constructively managed. Based on a synthesis of contemporary theoretical principles, the author proposes a definition of conflict management as an integrated management subsystem of an enterprise, aimed at the timely identification, prevention, regulation, resolution, and monitoring of conflicts to ensure effective staff interaction and the achievement of the enterprise’s strategic goals. The role of conflict management within the overall enterprise management system is substantiated, and its interrelationship with strategic, operational, financial, marketing, innovation, and human resources management is identified. It is demonstrated that conflict management is integrative in nature and is implemented through the classic functions of management-planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling. A conceptual framework for the role of conflict management within the enterprise management system is proposed, and the implementation of basic management functions through conflict management mechanisms is systematized. It has been determined that integrating conflict management into the management system contributes to increased labor productivity, an improved organizational climate, reduced resource losses, strengthened teamwork, and the sustainable development of the enterprise. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the proposed theoretical provisions as a conceptual basis for developing an effective conflict management system for enterprises across various sectors of the economy.
