The article substantiates the need to develop and implement a strategic planning methodology considering external and internal environmental factors in the context of modern global transformation trends and new models of economic relations. Digitalization, socialization, greening, circularization, and utility are identified as the main global transformation trends. The exabyte economy, wellbeing economy, netzero economy, circular economy, biogrowth economy, and experience economy are recognized as new models of economic relations. Given these two modern features, it is proposed to clarify the methodology of strategic planning, taking into account their modes of manifestation. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to improve the methodology for strategic planning in enterprises’ external and internal environments, considering the most significant features of modern realities. The article examines the methodology of enterprise strategic planning, taking into account the influence of internal and external environments. The study examines the methodological provisions, approaches, principles, and methods of strategic planning in the external and internal environments of enterprises in modern realities. The main methods used in writing the article are analysis, synthesis, theoretical generalization, the structural-logical method, and expert methods. The main provisions (stages) of the methodology for strategic planning, considering factors from the external and internal environments, are proposed. The external environment is proposed to be considered as a super- and equal environment, depending on the indicativeness or directiveness of the action and on the information factors of its subjects regarding the enterprise’s activities. For each stage of the strategic planning methodology, the factors of action in the relevant environments, and the methods for their analysis and consideration by enterprises in the formation of strategies and strategic plans, are specified.
