The article discusses the priorities for the development of wholesale grain trade and farming entrepreneurship in the context of Ukraine’s European integration. The main tasks are to identify problems that hinder the effective integration of Ukraine’s agricultural markets with EU markets, assess the current state of wholesale grain trade, analyze European quality and transport compatibility standards, and determine areas for developing farming entrepreneurship to increase competitiveness in the European agricultural market. It has been determined that European integration imposes several requirements for harmonizing legislation, product quality standards, and trade procedures according to the European Union’s strict standards, creating challenges for adapting Ukrainian production and trade processes. The analysis shows that data for 2024 indicate a 20% increase in Ukraine’s grain exports, particularly wheat and corn. The main barriers to integration have been identified: non-compliance with quality standards, technological and infrastructural obsolescence, imbalance in support for the farming sector, institutional problems, and military risks. The importance of comprehensive measures to harmonize product standards, modernize logistics, increase financial and organizational support for farmers, and develop the institutional environment for the stable development of the agricultural market in the context of European integration has been substantiated. Particular attention is paid to the requirements of European grain quality standards and product transport compatibility. Directions for the development of agricultural entrepreneurship include adapting production to European standards, providing organizational and legal education, offering financial support, and developing educational and consulting services. Strategic priorities are proposed to ensure the competitiveness of Ukrainian farmers and strengthen their role in the wholesale grain trade system.
