The article carries out a systematic study of the essence, content and classification differentiation of innovative management tools in the context of the current challenges of digital transformation. Given the multi-component nature of the modern innovation process, the study focuses on identifying conceptual approaches to the interpretation of innovative tools that have been formed in scientific literature and their critical rethinking considering modern organizational realities. The development of a theoretically consistent and methodologically holistic model of the classification of innovation management tools is determined, considering their functional purpose, level of integration into the management system and stages of the innovation cycle. Within the framework of the implementation of the task, a comparative analysis of five dominant scientific approaches to understanding the nature of IIM (functional, process, technological, systemic and behavioral) was carried out, based on which a typological matrix of modern tools was formed. Particular attention is paid to digital platforms, IMS-type software, modern management methodologies (Lean Startup, Stage-Gate, TRIZ), as well as analytical models that allow for strategic forecasting of innovation potential. As a result, a set of factors determining the effectiveness of IIM implementation was formulated, and a conceptual logical-functional matrix for their integration into the management practice of organizations was proposed. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the combination of phase, functional and level approaches to the systematization of IIM within a single logical-functional matrix, which allows for flexible typology of tools considering the dynamics of the innovation cycle and organizational context.
