The article comprehensively examines the theoretical, methodical, and practical foundations of diagnosing the development potential of construction enterprises under the conditions of intensive economic digitalization. The author scientifically proves and substantiates the limitations of classical approaches to assessing the market positions and competitiveness of business entities. Traditional models are mostly based on a retrospective analysis of financial and economic indicators in a static format of the current state (“as is”), which makes it impossible to account for the dynamic technological factor and the innovative component. Using the activities of PVKF «Aktual-odyn» (Sumy) as a case study, an in-depth comprehensive diagnosis of operational and financial results for the period of 2025 was implemented. Thanks to a detailed component-by-component analysis, it was possible to identify latent destructive trends and significant structural imbalances in the functioning of the company’s internal responsibility centers. Specifically, against the backdrop of a relatively stable integral index of enterprise competitiveness, which is fixed at 17.54 points, internal threats emerged: an acute crisis of absolute solvency, a low level of profitability of construction and installation services, and a systemic underutilization of available production capacities. The study proves the cross-cutting nature of digital transformation as a fundamental systemic tool for eliminating the identified economic distortions. Target vectors for reorganizing key enterprise departments through the integration of cutting-edge IT solutions have been formulated. It is substantiated that the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies in production activities will minimize design errors and reduce costs; the deployment of cloud-based ERP systems in the financial circuit will accelerate the turnover of working capital; and the integration of CRM platforms in the sales sector will optimize the order portfolio and staff workload. As a scientific result, a modernization of the existing methodical toolkit of the theory of effective competition is proposed by introducing an additional vector into the structure of the comprehensive index – the coefficient of digital maturity (CDM). This allows transforming the management architecture of a construction enterprise into a prospective “as it should be” model, guaranteeing its high adaptability, long-term sustainability, and strategic development in the unstable market environment of wartime and the future post-war reconstruction of the country.
