The study notes that effective management of sustainable development of tourism business is impossible without a systematic approach, strategic planning, and coordinated interaction of economic entities at all levels of tourism industry development. Based on the analysis of the main determinants of the European Green Deal, the understanding of the role and significance of the tourism business as a tool for sustainable development of territories and increasing the competitiveness of the economy using new approaches to the organization and implementation of management processes in the studied industry was clarified. The current state of development of the tourism business of Ukraine was analyzed, the key challenges of management of sustainable tourism enterprises development were systematized, and the main guidelines for the transformation of the system of management of tourism potential of Ukraine, based on European practices and specific tools for their implementation at the level of tourism enterprises, were determined. It is noted that it is the war and post-war periods that create the prerequisites for a deep transformation of the tourism industry according to the principle of “Build Back Better”, which involves not only the restoration of the destroyed components of the development of the tourism industry of Ukraine, but also a qualitatively new, environmentally oriented future development. It is substantiated the recommendations for optimizing the management system for sustainable development of tourism enterprises in ensuring the post-war recovery of Ukraine while deepening European integration processes, which include, in particular, the creation of new opportunities for increasing the competitiveness of tourism enterprises through environmental certification, the development of tourism and recreation potential, the harmonization of the national tourism industry development policy with the key principles of the European Green Deal, expanding access to international financing programs for “green” projects, and the implementation of ESG-management principles.
