The purpose of the article is to conduct a comprehensive study of transportation logistics as a key element of modern supply chains in the context of globalization and the digital transformation of the economy. The research is based on the application of general scientific and special methods, including system analysis, structural and functional approach, comparison, generalization, and economic-logistical analysis. The essence and main functions of transportation logistics are revealed, and its role in ensuring the efficiency of material flows within supply chains is substantiated. Attention is paid to the characteristics of the main modes of transport and their application based on cargo type, delivery distance, and service requirements. The article analyzes current trends in transportation logistics, including digitalization, the implementation of transport management systems, the automation of information flows, and the growing importance of multimodal transportation solutions. The issues of environmental sustainability of transport activities and the need to reduce logistics costs while maintaining a high level of customer service are also considered. Based on the analysis, the key problems hindering the effective development of transportation logistics are identified, including infrastructure constraints, rising energy costs, and insufficient integration of digital technologies. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of an integrated approach to transportation logistics as an interconnected element of supply chain management. The practical significance of the obtained results is determined by their applicability to the development of logistics strategies, the optimization of transportation processes, and the improvement of managerial decision-making at enterprises. Prospects for further research include assessing the resilience of transport and logistics systems and expanding the use of innovative digital solutions.
