In the current transformation of the agrarian sector, intensified by military challenges and European integration, the problem of developing the competitiveness potential of agricultural enterprises is particularly relevant. Investment activity is a key factor in modernizing production, introducing innovative technologies, increasing resource efficiency, and ensuring stable competitive positions in domestic and foreign markets. At the same time, agricultural enterprises operate under high uncertainty, limited access to financial resources, increased risks, and the need to adhere to the principles of sustainable development. The article examines the theoretical and methodological principles of managing the development of the competitiveness potential of agricultural enterprises with an emphasis on the role of investment mechanisms in this process. Scientific approaches to interpreting the concept of competitiveness potential are summarized, and its structural components are identified. Modern trends in investment support for the agricultural sector are analyzed, with particular attention to capital investment dynamics, the structure of financing sources, and the impact of state support and foreign investment on enterprise development. Attention is paid to assessing the effectiveness of investment process management as a component of the system for developing competitive potential. The feasibility of an integrated approach combining financial, economic, innovative, and environmental criteria, considering ESG principles and sustainable development requirements, is demonstrated. A conceptual approach to integrating investment mechanisms into the strategic management systems of agricultural enterprises is proposed to align investment decisions with long-term development goals. The practical implementation of the research results will increase the investment attractiveness of agricultural enterprises, strengthen their adaptability to external challenges, and ensure sustainable competitiveness in a transformational economy. The results obtained form a scientific and methodological basis for developing management decisions in the field of investment support for the development of agricultural enterprises.
