Innovative development management of agricultural enterprises is crucial for ensuring their sustainability, competitiveness, and environmental sustainability. In modern times, innovations in the agricultural sector contribute to increased production efficiency, improved product quality, and ensuring global food security. The purpose of the article is to study the essential characteristics, functions, and current state of innovative development management in agricultural enterprises. It’s determined that the implementation of innovations provides agricultural enterprises with increased productivity and product quality, reduced costs, and increased profit, and also contributes to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. The goal of increasing the added value of agricultural products also becomes possible, which is especially important for foreign economic activity. It has been proven that the management of innovative development in agricultural enterprises is a crucial aspect of modern agribusiness, aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. This process includes the implementation of new technologies, methods, and approaches in the production, processing, and sale of agricultural products. The primary functions and tasks of innovative development management in agricultural enterprises are identified, and the key factors that hinder innovative processes in Ukrainian agricultural enterprises are summarized. It is established that the innovative development management of an agricultural enterprise is based on several key principles. The main ones are combined into three groups: management-oriented principles, innovative development principles, and strategic principles. Adhering to these principles will help an agricultural enterprise successfully implement innovations, remaining competitive and resilient in modern market conditions and an unstable external environment.
