The article proposes a methodology for the functional analysis of opportunities to enhance an enterprise’s logistic potential, which is viewed as a critical component of its overall economic potential. This methodology allows not only for characterizing the existing state of logistics processes and development at the time of analysis, but also for identifying the main directions for formulating strategic goals and priority measures to improve the efficiency of its logistics potential management system. The problem is approached by considering the enterprise as a poly-functional system aiming for organic integration into the market model. Enhancing a specific enterprise’s logistic potential is not merely its own task; “recipients” of this development include consumers, supply chain partners, the industry, and the state. The core objective is to deliver the maximum possible quantity of goods and services at minimal costs, which requires the enterprise to execute specific logistic functions effectively. The analysis aims to identify directions for improving this logistic potential by assessing enterprise functions and the interest of external recipients. A mathematical model is proposed to form an organizational-economic mechanism for this enhancement. This model evaluates: the enterprise’s internal capability to realize a specific logistic function, considering its significance and feasibility, the adequacy of external support from supply chain recipients relative to the function’s importance for the enterprise’s potential, and the overall ability to implement key logistic functions using internal resources, factoring in external influence. The results are graphically interpreted to identify strategic disproportions or resource deficits. The study concludes that the most viable strategy often involves leveraging external opportunities to achieve development goals. This functional analysis highlights a tendency toward strategy selection, emphasizing that enhancing logistics potential must not be based solely on a single firm’s resources but must be grounded in a systemic approach.
