The purpose of the article is to investigate the economic mechanisms underlying the formation of competitive tourist infrastructure in Ukraine’s regions under conditions of structural transformation, post-crisis recovery, and intensifying external challenges. The study is based on a comprehensive economic approach that considers tourist infrastructure as a key factor of regional development, investment attractiveness, and territorial competitiveness. The research methodology includes statistical analysis of tourism fee revenues, regional comparison, cluster analysis of Ukrainian regions by level of tourism infrastructure development, and a structural assessment of financial-investment, tax-budgetary, institutional-regulatory, and innovative economic instruments. The results of the study reveal significant spatial differentiation in the effectiveness of economic mechanisms for tourism infrastructure development. Based on tourism fee revenues, Ukrainian regions are grouped into leading, medium-level, and problem regions. The analysis demonstrates that leading regions are characterized by the integrated use of investment incentives, public-private partnerships, modern infrastructure development, and digital solutions. Regions with a medium level of development show positive dynamics, driven mainly by internal tourism and local investment projects, while problem regions face substantial constraints due to security risks, infrastructure destruction, and limited financial resources. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the integrated application of economic, cluster-based, and digital approaches to assessing the competitiveness of regional tourist infrastructure, as well as in substantiating the economic mechanism as a complex system that combines interrelated submechanisms rather than isolated policy instruments. The study demonstrates that the synergistic interaction among financial-investment tools, tax incentives, institutional regulation, and innovative solutions significantly enhances the resilience and competitiveness of regional tourism systems. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of differentiated recommendations for regional and local authorities aimed at strategic planning, the activation of investment processes, the targeted use of tourism revenues, the modernization of infrastructure, and the implementation of sustainable development principles. The proposed recommendations can be applied in regional development strategies, tourism programs, and post-war recovery policies. Prospects for further research include the development of adaptive economic models for different types of regions, the evaluation of the impact of digital and innovative technologies on infrastructure efficiency, and the elaboration of targeted economic policies to reduce regional disparities and strengthen the competitive positions of Ukrainian regions in national and international tourism markets.
