The study of the investment and innovation capacity development of Ukrainian regions in the light of European integration is relevant because it meets the current needs and challenges of society and the economy. Ukraine seeks to strengthen its position in the global market and boost the competitiveness of its regions through investment attraction and innovative development. Today, it is necessary to identify the key aspects and priorities for achieving these goals, contributing to sustainable growth, and improving living standards. The article defines the investment and innovation component of the regional development strategy as an orderly and long-term process with a clear action plan, a defined goal, and expected outcomes. The article aims to conduct a theoretical and methodological analysis of the investment and innovation capacity of Ukrainian regions and to identify opportunities for growth in the light of European integration. The problems associated with institutional support for investment and innovation development of Ukrainian regions are studied in detail. The aspects of the legal and regulatory framework that governs and promotes innovation are analyzed. The activities of entities involved in the institutional support of investment and innovation processes are examined. The European experience of institutional support and stimulation of investment and innovation processes is analyzed. The problems arising in institutional support for innovative development are outlined, and the economic policy instruments used by the state to stimulate investment and innovation processes are considered. The leading institutions that play an essential role in promoting innovation are identified. The ways of increasing the investment and innovation capacity of Ukrainian regions are suggested.
