This article examines the determinants of integration processes within enterprises and their impact on competitive advantage. This study aims to identify and analyze the key factors that initiate and determine the effectiveness of integration interactions between economic entities, ultimately enhancing their market position. Methods employed include a systematic theoretical analysis of the concept of «determinants of integration processes, a structured review of the impact of integration on organizational-economic and financial stability, the formation of competitive advantages, and the proposal of relevant statistical indicators for quantitative assessment. The research also critically evaluates potential challenges and risks associated with integration. The results indicate that integration significantly optimizes internal structure, improves resource utilization, boosts productivity, and strengthens financial resilience by diversifying revenues and optimizing cash flows. It directly catalyzes competitive advantages through market share expansion, cost reduction, product/service innovation, and improved customer service. A comprehensive set of financial, operational, market, innovation, and risk indicators are proposed to validate integration’s impact empirically. The scientific novelty systematically conceptualizes «determinants of integration processes» as a holistic framework for understanding their initiation and effectiveness. A structured approach to linking specific integration mechanisms with tangible competitive advantages and a reliable set of quantitative indicators for their assessment are described. The practical significance of this research is substantial. It offers a practical guide for enterprise managers in developing effective integration strategies by clearly understanding the key determinants, potential benefits, and inherent risks. The proposed quantitative assessment tools empower decision-makers to evaluate the success probability of integration deals objectively, minimizing financial and operational risks. Prospects for further research include the development of dynamic models for assessing integration processes, which would account for time lags and adaptive responses of enterprises. A comparative analysis of integration strategies across various economic sectors is warranted to identify sector-specific best practices. Finally, developing predictive tools for forecasting the success of integration agreements, leveraging advanced analytics like big data and machine learning, presents a critical avenue for future work to enhance strategic decision-making.
