One of the key directions for ensuring the competitiveness and sustainable development of enterprises in the renewable energy sector is the development of an adaptive management mechanism that accounts for the industry’s specific features, the influence of external and internal determinants, technological transformations, and environmental requirements. Unlike traditional models, this mechanism integrates innovative digital solutions, strategic planning, risk management, and instruments to ensure energy and environmental sustainability. At the same time, issues related to the comprehensive generalization of theoretical approaches to interpreting the management mechanism of entrepreneurial structures in renewable energy, the systematization of factors influencing its functioning, and the determination of transformation directions amid modern challenges remain insufficiently studied, underscoring the relevance of further scientific research in this area. The purpose of the study is to generalize theoretical approaches to interpreting the management mechanism of entrepreneurial structures in renewable energy, systematize external and internal factors influencing its functioning, and determine key directions for the transformation of management approaches in the context of the energy transition, digitalization, and increasing requirements for energy and environmental sustainability.  The article generalizes theoretical approaches to interpreting the category of the “management mechanism of entrepreneurial structures” and identifies the specific features of its application in the renewable energy sector. The role of renewable energy enterprises within the fuel and energy complex is substantiated, and the specifics of their functioning amid energy transformation are identified. External and internal factors influencing the functioning of the management mechanism are systematized, including the regulatory environment, investment climate, international environmental requirements, innovation potential, financial sustainability, process digitalization, and risk management system. An approach to transforming the management mechanism, based on integrating innovation-digital, functional-resource, and system-process components, is proposed to increase the adaptability, resilience, and competitiveness of renewable energy enterprises. It has been shown that under conditions of energy transformation and increasing external challenges, the effective functioning of entrepreneurial structures in renewable energy requires a transition to adaptive management models that integrate digital technologies, foster innovation, and enhance the flexibility of managerial decision-making. The proposed approaches improve the operational efficiency of renewable energy enterprises, strengthening their competitiveness, investment attractiveness, and energy resilience. The practical significance of the study lies in the potential to apply the results to improve the management mechanisms of renewable energy enterprises amid ongoing transformations.
