Rural areas play a key role in ensuring sustainable development, supporting the national economy, and preserving cultural heritage. Their development and support are important tasks for both state policy and the entrepreneurial community. The purpose of this article is to research the modern problems of rural transformation as a factor influencing the management of an agricultural enterprise. The definition of “rural areas” is clarified as complex systems that combine economic, environmental, and social aspects, creating conditions for sustainable development and improving the quality of life for residents. The research provides a basis for understanding the transformation of rural areas as a process of change that occurs in the countryside under the influence of economic, social, technological, and environmental factors. This process encompasses several aspects that impact the structure, functioning, and development of agricultural enterprises in rural areas. Modern concepts of rural transformation are analyzed, and their essence, main advantages, and disadvantages are clarified in the context of ensuring the effectiveness of agricultural enterprise management. It is established that the mentality of the rural population plays an important role in the process of rural transformation. Therefore, considering the mentality of the rural population allows for the development of more effective and sustainable strategies for rural development, which will contribute to harmonious growth and an improved quality of life in the countryside. The formation of stereotypes about rural residents has a profound impact on the transformation of rural areas. Re-evaluating stereotypes will not only help improve the perception of agribusiness but also contribute to the sustainable development of rural areas, increasing their attractiveness and economic capacity.

Keywords: agribusiness management, business development, rural areas, rural transformation, quality of life, values.
