The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of controlling an enterprise’s resource potential under conditions of economic instability. It is evident that the modern functioning of enterprises is accompanied by an increase in risks associated with a shortage of financial resources, disruptions to logistics chains, price instability, a decrease in the solvency of counterparties, personnel losses, and limited opportunities to update the material and technical base. Under such conditions, control of resource potential takes on special importance, as it ensures the timely detection of deviations, the assessment of resource-use efficiency, the search for internal reserves, and the formation of an information basis for management decisions. The resource potential of an enterprise is considered a set of available and potentially available material, financial, labor, information, innovation, organizational, and intangible resources that can be used to achieve the enterprise’s current and strategic goals. It is determined that, in conditions of economic instability, not only the availability of resources but also the efficiency of their use, as well as the ability to mobilize, redistribute, and adapt to changes in the external environment, become important. The study focuses on the need to adopt a comprehensive, continuous, adaptive, and risk-oriented approach to controlling resource potential. The main areas of control of material, financial, labor, information resources, fixed assets, and production capacities are characterized. A scheme illustrating the influence of control on the enterprise’s resource potential is proposed, reflecting the relationship among assessing the state of resources, identifying risks and problems, making management decisions, optimizing resource use, and increasing the enterprise’s stability. It has been proven that well-organized control strengthens financial stability, increases management flexibility, and ensures the enterprise’s stable development under conditions of uncertainty.
