Abstract

Introduction. The article is devoted to the methodological approaches deepening to the assessment of the sustainable development components status of the regional agro-food sector of the economy and the management measures development to neutralize destabilizing factors.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the components of the agro-food sector sustainable development of the Black Sea region, to determine the reserves of economic, social and environmental measures of sustainability of the investigated production territorial sector.

Results. It is determined that with the multicultural agriculture growth, the stability level of the territorial agrarian sector is increasing. The economic and social causes of the Black Sea region rural areas depopulation are specified. The list of factors that complicate the environmental dimension provision of the agro-food sector sustainability in the Black Sea region has been specified. It has been established that there is a direct link between the agricultural production stability and the level of the agrarian sector multiculturalism. The stability of local production of industrial food products depends on the stability of agricultural raw materials supply. Among the factors that adversely affect the social sustainability of the agro-food sector development are the consumer income low level, the insufficient level of social rural areas infrastructure development of the region. Among the factors that adversely affect the environmental sustainability of the agro-food sector, the most notable are the land cultivation high level, the reduction of the area under perennial stands, the unsatisfactory dynamics of forest reproduction, and the critically low level of organic fertilizer application.

Conclusions. The agricultural sector of the Black Sea region’s production shows a relatively high level of instability. Among the main reasons for this are the low level of the region population solvency, the neglect of local producers of the local food market, depopulation of rural areas due to low wages and poor social infrastructure development, and a low index of land resources.
