The article aims to develop the theoretical and methodological foundations of strategic project management in the transport sector by integrating environmental, social, and economic factors of sustainable development. The article examines the place and role of strategic project management in the transport sector as a key factor in ensuring sustainable development. It has been established that implementing strategic project management in the transport sector through integrating environmental, social, and economic factors will enhance infrastructure resilience, reduce environmental impact, and improve the population’s quality of life. It is demonstrated that the application of strategic management in the transport sector ensures the sustainable development of infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of transport services, and promoting the country’s integration into global logistics systems. Introducing innovative technologies, effective planning, and responsible resource use will contribute to the harmonious development of transport infrastructure that meets modern society’s and future generations’ needs. It has been determined that to ensure the sustainable development of the transport sector, it is important to consider risks at all stages of project implementation – from planning and design to construction, operation, and modernization. Risks may be associated with financial instability, changes in regulatory frameworks, technical difficulties, environmental factors, and social aspects. It is shown that using practical risk assessment and management methods will minimize potential adverse outcomes and increase transport projects’ efficiency through optimal resource utilization and well-founded management decisions. A comprehensive approach to risk management will facilitate the timely identification of potential threats, which, in turn, will help avoid delays in project implementation and reduce financial losses.
