The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state and prospects of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine, highlighting its economic and social significance in ongoing transformations. The author focuses on the existing challenges and barriers social enterprises face, such as the lack of effective legal and financial support and the insufficient level of awareness among the public and business sectors regarding the potential of this field. The study also examines international examples of successful social enterprise development and the adaptation of these models to the Ukrainian context. The article explores the role of social enterprises in promoting sustainable development and job creation and addressing pressing social issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation. Additionally, the author emphasizes the need to strengthen the legal framework to foster a more conducive environment for social entrepreneurship. This includes implementing financial instruments and investment incentives and developing social clusters to support social enterprises’ growth. The article also discusses the potential for social enterprises to contribute to Ukraine’s economic recovery after the war, mainly through innovative financing methods, such as impact investing, crowdfunding, and partnerships with international organizations. The research highlights the importance of education and training programs for aspiring social entrepreneurs and the development of a national strategy to promote social entrepreneurship as a key driver of socio-economic development. Furthermore, the article outlines the role of government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector in supporting the growth of social enterprises in Ukraine. The author proposes policy reform recommendations and suggests creating an enabling ecosystem that encourages collaboration among all stakeholders, fosters innovation, and maximizes the impact of social enterprises in addressing Ukraine’s most pressing social challenges.
