The article examines the role of strategic business consulting in adapting to the European Union (EU) norms. The specifics of the implementation of European standards for Ukrainian enterprises and the experience of Eastern European countries in European integration processes are considered. The implementation of European standards requires enterprises to adapt to new requirements related to ecology, technical standards, quality management, labor legislation, social responsibility, consumer protection, etc. For Ukrainian enterprises, this means significant investments in the modernization of production facilities, the introduction of new technologies, personnel training, and developing effective change management strategies. The experience of Eastern European countries that have gone through the path of European integration demonstrates the importance of professional support from consultants in this process. Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and others have actively used consulting services to implement European standards in industry, agriculture, energy, and the service sector. This experience can be helpful in Ukraine, which is at the initial stage of European integration. The role of consultants in the transition to European standards is identified, through expert support, development of adaptation strategies, and change management, the professional support of which allows not only to ensure compliance with EU requirements but also to increase business efficiency. The importance of considering the national context and industry specifics for successful integration is emphasized.

A promising direction for further research is to study digitalization’s impact on the adaptation process to European standards.
