The article defines the main features of regional development and the organization of the economy in restricted distribution. The indicators of regional development were analyzed, which made it possible to single out the leaders and outsiders among regions according to the relevant indicators. Based on the research, the main problems of the territorial distribution of the organization of the economy were formed. The critical aspects of threats to regional development have been determined, considering military actions on the territory of Ukraine. The peculiarities of the current state of socio-economic systems were substantiated, considering the security situation and the continuation of hostilities. Based on the conducted theoretical studies, weak points in the organization of the regional economy were identified, and it is necessary to develop appropriate decisions on the part of the authorities in matters of ensuring the security of the functioning of the economic systems of the regions in the post-war period of reconstruction. It was proved that the natural climatic conditions formed the appropriate affiliation of territories to the sectoral distribution, which affects the formation of poles of growth in the sectoral aspect and reduces the adaptive capabilities of regional development to the influence of the external environment. It was determined that in Ukraine in the pre-war period, the most developed regions were those in which the critical type of activity was industry, which ensured the development of the innovation and investment potential of the territories and a high-income population. The damage caused to infrastructural and industrial facilities led to the forced migration of people within and abroad. Such consequences harmed the socio-economic condition of the regions and the state. The main directions of security of the territorial organization of the economy in the regions under the conditions of the post-war recovery of the state are highlighted. Features of the post-war reconstruction of industrial parts are highlighted. The need to ensure various areas of security for the population with the subsequent restoration of the functioning of regional economic systems has been proven.
