The conditions of global digital transformation create new challenges for the economic security of states, while opening opportunities for improving public governance mechanisms. The modern economy requires adapting management approaches to the realities of the digital age, ensuring cyber resilience, digital inclusion, and effective regulation of the digital environment. The study is devoted to modern challenges and unresolved problems of public governance, as well as the development of an effective public governance mechanism to strengthen economic security in the context of digital transformation. The study uses methods of analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, comparative analysis, modeling of management processes, as well as graphical representation of the relationships between system elements. The article systematizes the main threats to economic security arising from digitalization. The role of public administration in strengthening economic security is revealed, and key public administration mechanisms aimed at ensuring cybersecurity, developing digital infrastructure, supporting the population’s digital literacy, improving the regulatory environment, and developing partnerships between the state and business are identified. The international experience of public administration in economic security in the context of digitalization is analyzed. An author’s model of mechanisms for strengthening economic security is developed, which reflects the relationship between strategic planning, institutional support, innovative activities, and risk monitoring. Successful provision of economic security in digital transformation is possible only under systemic modernization of public administration, integration of innovative approaches, development of human capital and effective management of digital risks. Further research should be directed at deepening the tools for assessing the effectiveness of digital security strategies.
