This article is dedicated to studying theoretical foundations and methodological approaches to the emergence of spatial regional asymmetries in the development of poultry markets. The article aims to improve and develop the theoretical and methodological principles for overcoming spatial asymmetries in developing poultry farming in Ukraine, considering regional characteristics, production processes, and socio-economic factors. The article discusses the current issues of poultry farming development in Ukraine, particularly identifying significant regional asymmetries in the industry, which are caused by the uneven distribution of resources, infrastructure, production capacities, and market access. The research presents statistical data on the current state of poultry farming in Ukraine and analyzes the main factors influencing regional differences in poultry meat production volumes. It has been found that certain regions, such as Kyiv and Vinnytsia, have significantly larger production volumes than others due to not only natural but also economic and infrastructural factors. The study justifies the need to overcome spatial regional asymmetries, which negatively affect the development of poultry farming in Ukraine. It analyzes existing approaches to solving the problem of regional development asymmetries: improving infrastructure, stimulating investment, and supporting innovation in the industry. The research highlights that only a comprehensive approach to solving this problem, based on improving transport and logistics infrastructure, attracting financial resources for the modernization of enterprises, and supporting cooperation between regions, will effectively overcome spatial asymmetries in regional development. Based on the results of studies by leading scholars on overcoming regional development disparities, the article proposes a mechanism for overcoming regional spatial asymmetries, which includes infrastructure development, attracting financial support, stimulating investment, supporting innovation and technological development, socio-economic support, rehabilitation of affected regions, and ensuring environmental sustainability of the industry. These measures, when implemented together, will ensure more balanced poultry farming development, enhance competitiveness, and contribute to the sustainable development of the poultry industry at both national and international levels.
